Privacy Policy

Effective date: 19 August 2026

1. Who we are

This notice is issued under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”). Coding Dev (“we”) is the Data Fiduciary for personal data processed through codingdev.in and its Instagram page.

2. What we collect, and why

  • Name, email, and message content you submit via the contact form — to respond to your enquiry.
  • Email address for newsletter sign-ups — to send updates you’ve opted into.
  • Browser/cookie data for analytics — only if you consent to it.

We collect nothing beyond this, don’t sell personal data, and don’t use it for automated decisions that affect you legally.

3. Consent

We only collect data you knowingly submit or opt into — nothing is pre-ticked or bundled. You can withdraw consent anytime (e.g. unsubscribe from the newsletter, or message us per Section 6); this won’t affect processing already done, but may mean we can no longer provide that specific feature.

4. Retention

We keep data only as long as needed for the purpose collected — contact messages until resolved, newsletter emails until you unsubscribe, analytics per the provider’s own retention period — then delete or anonymise it.

5. Third parties

We use Web3Forms (contact form), Beehiiv (newsletter), and, only with your analytics consent, Google Analytics/Tag Manager, Microsoft Clarity, and Vercel Analytics. These may process data outside India, which the DPDP Act permits unless the destination country is specifically restricted by the Government — none currently are.

6. Your rights & grievances

Under the DPDP Act you can ask us to let you access, correct, or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, or nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you’re unable to. Coding Dev is a one-person project, so the fastest way to reach us for any of this, or with a complaint, is a direct message on Instagram: @coding_dev_. If you’re unsatisfied with our response, you can escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data. If a breach occurs that affects you, we’ll notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law.

8. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as our practices or the law change; the effective date above will reflect the latest version.
